Bill Alps uses the selected collective labour agreement (CLA) to assist with payroll preparation. Depending on the available data, it displays minimum wages, suggests settings and flags differences involving the 13th salary, holidays, daily sickness allowance insurance and absences.

1. Select the company's agreement

  1. Open My company, then the Sector & collective agreement card.
  2. Select the business sector. Bill Alps indicates when the catalogue contains matching extended agreements.
  3. Choose the applicable Collective agreement. The list is searchable and grouped by sector.
  4. If the agreement offers several models, select the working-time arrangement used by the company.
  5. Click Save.

2. Confirm the agreement for each employee

An employee inherits the company agreement by default. In the employee profile, the Collective agreement field also lets you select a different agreement or None — outside the agreement's scope. Use this exception when a person is not covered by the company's main agreement.

3. Select the wage category

  1. In the salary section of the employee profile, select the Wage category (CLA).
  2. Review the minimum shown below the field. It may depend on age, length of service or canton and is shown at 100% when the source specifies a monthly wage.
  3. Review the warnings at the top of the profile, then correct the relevant information before saving.

4. Apply the suggested values

When an employee's settings differ from the available reference values, the Apply agreement values button appears. You can choose which rows to copy, such as holiday weeks, the 13th salary, the daily sickness allowance rate or waiting days. This only updates the form: click Save afterwards to keep the changes.

5. Understand the agreement checks

Items to review appear in the employee profile and when creating, editing or viewing a payslip. Depending on the agreement, Bill Alps can check:

  • the selected category's minimum wage;
  • the mandatory 13th salary and minimum holiday entitlement;
  • whether daily sickness allowance insurance is configured;
  • rates, waiting periods and durations for sickness, accident, maternity or paternity.

6. Record an absence under an agreement

In the absence form, Bill Alps displays the agreement's reference rates or durations when available. Proposed payslip lines take the applicable rules into account; a warning appears when an entered value is below a minimum or above a maximum set by the agreement. Proposed amounts remain editable.
